HALT Diabetes is a year-long Healthy Lifestyle program that helps adults with prediabetes lose weight, increase physical activity, and build lasting habits that can prevent or delay type 2 diabetes. The program is delivered through the HALT 360 digital platform, combining an engaging online curriculum with support from a trained lifestyle coach.
HALT 360 programs are available in Native American and Spanish language versions to better serve diverse communities and enhance cultural and linguistic accessibility.

No. Participants only need access to a smartphone, tablet, or computer and a basic internet or cell signal to participate.
HALT Diabetes is delivered online through the HALT 360 platform, using asynchronous sessions that participants can complete on their own schedule, plus support from a lifestyle coach via text, phone, or video.
The goal is to help participants lose at least 5–7% of their starting body weight and achieve at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity per week, which has been shown to significantly reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
The program lasts 12 months. Participants meet weekly in the early months and then transition to less frequent sessions focused on maintenance and long-term support, consistent with CDC National DPP standards.
