Board PresidentJohn Robitscher, MPH is President of ProVention Health Foundation, which he co-founded in 2013 to drive innovation in prevention and expand access to the HALT initiatives — HALT Diabetes, HALT Cancer, HALT Heart Disease & Stroke, and HALT Arthritis — so that all people have the opportunity for better health. Under his leadership, the Foundation is building powerful partnerships that elevate prevention and strengthen public health nationwide.
From 2005 to 2025, John served as Chief Executive Officer of the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD). During his tenure, NACDD grew into a nationally recognized leader in chronic disease prevention, representing more than 7,000 public health professionals in every U.S. state and territory. He expanded the Association’s reach, visibility, and influence, helping elevate chronic disease prevention as a national public health priority.
With more than 30 years of nonprofit management experience, John has held leadership roles as Executive Director of the Henry W. Grady Foundation, Chief Development Officer of the International Life Sciences Institute’s Center for Health Promotion, Director of Rural Health for the Georgia Department of Public Health, and as a Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Throughout his career, he has championed prevention, equity, and innovation to improve health outcomes across the nation.
John is widely regarded as a national thought leader in chronic disease prevention, dedicated to advancing policies, partnerships, and programs that shape a healthier future for all communities.
